"We found this place randomly on this famous street and it’s a different Thai food place, we loved the food here and the menu is really great. The quality and taste were exceptional, great selection of Belgium beers and other wines. The food is so different and authentic, they even have a menu for non-locals To end with the desserts were just out of the world, the cakes are so smooth and just melt in the mouth."

"I’ve been to Ega Lab many times, and honestly it’s one of the best spots for Thai food. Every time I come to Bangkok, I make sure to visit. The menu is wide, everything tastes great, and the Thai flavors are super authentic. Tip a bit: some dishes can be very spicy, so just ask the staff before ordering. They also have a lot of dessert options — including cakes — which is a nice bonus. The staff are helpful, and the ambience is unique in a cool, casual way. Always a good experience here. Highly recommend."

"Visited E-Ga on Songwat Road after hearing so many good things. The food is known for bold flavors, and it definitely lives up to the hype — but be prepared to wait. We waited almost an hour to get a table. While waiting, the dessert display caught our attention, and the cakes were selling out fast. We ended up reserving the cakes before even getting a table — no regrets! Desserts we tried: Shiny Orange, Forest Berry Cheese Pie, and Matcha Oreo Cheesecake. Not too sweet, very well balanced, and all were excellent. For the food, we ordered several spicy dishes (even though none of us are great with spice): sour curry with shrimp and cha-om omelet, stir-fried shrimp with stink beans, southern-style spicy minced pork, and a crispy spicy salad. The flavors were strong, authentic, and delicious. Overall, great food with bold southern Thai flavors and surprisingly good desserts. Worth the wait if you enjoy intense, flavorful dishes."

"This restaurant promotes itself as Thai home cooking. I remember coming here at night before—it was packed, and you definitely had to queue. This time I came for lunch. Honestly, the menu is on the pricey side and lots of ala carte menu. If you can come with friends , it would be better to try their foods. I ordered their signature crispy noodles (220 THB). The sweet-and-sour flavor is very strong, almost overwhelming. You really need to eat it together with the side vegetables; otherwise, it can be too much. I also had a roselle tea (60 THB), which was refreshing, and one slice of their popular meringue pie with toddy palm fruit and chocolate filling (180 THB). Overall, it’s a nice place to chill and hang out—cool atmosphere, good music, and a relaxed vibe."

"Very nice and authentic thai food. Big varieties of cakes, not just cakes but amazing looking cakes! We ordered 5 different dishes, 3 serves of rice, 2 O.J., 3 cakes and thai desserts, the bill was around 3,800 baht. A little bit pricey but definitely recommend"

"Delicious! Variety selections of Thai food, the taste was authentic and saturated. Many dishes can be altered according to your spice tolerance. Staffs were a little absence-minded but overall they were fine. We call to book in advance and were able to get a nice table in a quieter section of the restaurant. Restaurant was nicely decorated and the music choice was good. Want to try their cake as there were soo many choices but we were too full."

"The food tasted really good and was definitely worth trying. The restaurant also has a nice vibe and atmosphere. However, the waiting time for the food was extremely long — around 1 hour — which felt too long, especially on a regular weekday. We also had to keep following up with the staff about our order. The ambiance is nice, but the service from the staff still needs improvement. The cake is so good."

"Great, creative, with unique design for Thai restaurant. The food options are creative still authentic. Some are a bit small portion with price. This time tried Tom-ka-gai, but it didn't meet my expectation. The other dishes were great."
